SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT 'INTERDIMENSIONALITY', CONSCIOUSNESS, BEING, AND INTER-REALITY CONTACT MODALITIES.

First, a couple of comments regarding the words "interdimensional" and "Consciousness." We need to try to clarify concepts like these in order to develop a more comprehensive post-materialist metaphysics (first principles philosophy) and expanded science that incorporates the contact modalities and experienced non-local phenomena bridging the gap between realities and the subject-object dichotomy.
1) The word “interdimensional” doesn’t necessarily mean an exchange phenomenon originating in or relating to a non-physical environment. The word is often taken to mean “from another reality” and this can also mean “from an alternative physical reality”. My hypothesis is that at least some of these UAP and associated intelligences can shift across equally dense, denser, and less dense physical realities by means of using non-physical possibilities allowing them to manipulate and combine fundamental physical parameters. Some of these parameters (like spacetime) can also be called “dimensions” but in another sense. We need to develop more nuance and agreement regarding these concepts and terms.
2) To avoid using consciousness in a simplistic way that rekindles the philosophical polarity of idealism versus materialism, a way out could be remembering its fundamental "Being" aspect. In relation to itself Consciousness is Fundamental Being and, in relation to the natural world, "Consciousness" can be considered the capacity to experience things as other than Fundamental Being. In itself, it is the Ultimate Being that contains all the possibilities of natural, contingent beings.
A material "thing" is Being manifested with limited characteristics (or under the guise of limited characteristics). "Matter" is a self-limiting externalization of the Fundamental Being aspect of Consciousness. In other words, as if it were outside of itself. This implies that any consciousness accompanying the pseudo-reality of this "thing" would also be experientially limited and conditioned. This would be because part of its Being aspect would be projected as if outside itself and experientially invested in the manifestation of the material thing.
Considering a supra cosmic or supra-natural illusion in the "mind" of Consciousness-Being, three supracosmic elements would arise: Being, non-Being, and the connection between the two. In the initial illusory duality between Being and non-Being (as a possibility that Being can consider), there would remain a connection of Being between both because even non-Being "is" something that serves to compare. In other words, even non-Being is rooted in Being.
Creation, the "Cosmic" or "Natural" level (or the actualization of Being potentials within the illusion of separation) would arise out of Consciousness-Being investing part of itself in something akin to a dream... as if it were separate from itself. By extension, from the three supracosmic elements, also three qualitatively distinct varieties of universes with their own types of externalization of "objects" would arise in the "dream."
Each of these types of externalization of objects would also express qualitatively different types of "matter," such as "causal matter" (in which subjectivity causally controls material objects), "subtle matter" (in which subjectivity causally modifies material objects but is simultaneously modified by them), and "physical matter" in which material objects causally predominate over subjectivity. Individualized consciousnesses would experience different degrees of limitation in these fundamental "universes," (the least in the causal and the most in the physical).
These qualitatively distinct types of "universes" (or basic "realms" if you will) would contain many levels or sub-universes according to how they combine in different proportions with each other. They would be completely actual in their own level of existence but also (in varying degrees) potential in relation to each other. Between each of them, there would be an interface mechanism and substance or intermediate reality level. This interface would also reflect the supracosmic division into three supracosmic elements but with a greater degree of granularity. Moreover, in terms of the philosophy of the "gunas," the subtler universe (or realm in which consciousness is more influential) would act as a "rajasic" activating factor; the coarser (or more externally or materially dominant universe or realm) would act as a passive, resisting or "tamasic" factor. And the interface between the two would act as a neutral or balanced "sattvic" factor, equally containing the characteristics of both. In relation to this, some or all aspects of the quantum world, including retrocausality, may serve as intermediating mechanisms between the Physical Realm (and our universe within it) universe and the so-called Subtle, astral or imaginal realm.
Also, in order to better understand the "multiple contact modalities" or inter-reality contact experiences, we would have to understand more about how these realities interface with each other (always including consciousness, even if it is limited to particular subjective perspectives attached to specific reality-decoding vehicles). Some clues may be given by how relatively potential and relatively actual states of being may be exchanged both from the perspective of non-illusory Consciousness-Being and from the perspective of the contingent natural world. Some concepts from ancient experienced-based mystical traditions as well as from quantum physics may be compatible with the aforementioned ideas.
